JKYF unveils calendar 2022 at ‘BAITUL HILAL’ Srinagar

Srinagar: As part of reaching out to the common masses with information, education and communication (IEC) related to social service sector, the J&K Yateem Foundation unveiled its Annual Wall Calendar for Year 2022 on Friday here.

JKYF is a Society registered vide Registration Number 3758-S of 2001 under Registrar of Societies, J&K serving the poor & needy for the past over 21 years now.

In this connection, a solemn launching ceremony was organized at JKYF Central Office ‘BAITUL HILAL’, 42-A, Al Farooq Colony, Near Al Farooq Masjid, Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar Kashmir, in which a galaxy of eminent personalities, educationists, government officials, journalists and cross section of people participated with enthusiasm while braving “Chillai Kalan”, the 40 day coldest period of winter in Kashmir.

Deputy Director, Press Information Bureau Ghulam Abass (IIS) , Divisional Officer Horticulture & Marketing Department Gul Syed, Advocate Abrar Ahmed, Nazim Nazir, Editor Tameel i Irshaad and Er (Retd) Abdul Aziz unveiled the JKYF’s Wall Calendar 2022.

Chairman JKYF Mohammad Ahsan Rather, General Secretary/Secretary Finance, District Representatives from all districts in Kashmir region and volunteers of JKYF from all districts were also present on the occasion.

‘BAITUL HILAL’ children welcomed all the guests while adopting COVID -19 related SOPs.

The JKYF Calendar-2022 highlights socio-economic & educational issues and other challenges confronting poor & destitute and society as a whole.

The 12 month pages cover J&K’s listed Gazetted & other holidays, focus on issues like increasing trend of suicides, climate change besides objectives of Ramadhan fasting, plight of poor & needy & responsibility of society to cater to all problems and challenging situation.

In addition, the Calendar focusses on varied forms of charity, issue of shelter-less poor families and importance of rewards for leading virtuous and righteous life.
