Srinagar: A male body was found under mysterious circumstances in  Nowgam area of Verinag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday.

Quoting officials, news agency KNO reported that the body of a youth was found by some locals under in Nowgam, Verinag, and who accordingly informed the police.

A police party rushed to the spot and took over the body and shifted it to GMC Anantnag for postmortem. The body was later identified as that of Aijaz Ahmad Wagay (28), son of Ghulam Hassan Wagay, resident of Nowgam Verinag.

The news agency reported that Wagay had gone missing on Wednesday evening.
