Srinagar: At least eleven sheep were killed in a leopard attack in Waripora Tangmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla on Monday night.
According to the owner of the sheep, Ghulam Nabi Rather son of Mohammad Ramzan Rather, a leopard barged inside the shed and killed eleven sheep, besides leaving several other injured.
Meanwhile, locals urged the district administration to trap the leopard as it is on the prowl for the last many days in the area.
“We also appeal the administration to provide compensation to the owner of the sheep killed, as he belongs to a poor family,” they said.
