Srinagar: The body of a 72-year-old man was found in Brahamsar nullah at Chattergul area in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday, officials said.

Quoting the officials, news agency KNO reported that some locals spotted the body lying in the stream and subsequently informed the concerned police station.

Later, a police party rushed to the spot and took the body into their possession.

The deceased has been identified as Abdullah Khataria, son of Syed Khataria, a local from Chattergul.

A case under relevant sections has been registered and further investigation, an official said.
