Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday reported 147 new positive cases of novel corona virus (COVID-19), while three more persons succumbed to the in infection in the last 24 hours.

Of the new cases, officials said 107 were reported from Kashmir and 40 from the Jammu division, taking the total number of positive cases reported thus far in Jammu and Kashmir to 3,39,271, officials said.

They said three COVID-19 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours – two from Kashmir and one from the Jammu division, while as 125 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 108 from Kashmir and 17 from Jammu division during this period.

No new case of Mucormycosis (black fungus) was reported today, they said.

On vaccination, the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus informed that 48,006 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to 1,73,94,022.

According to the bulletin, out of 3,39,271 positive cases recorded cumulative so far, currently there are 1,446 active positive cases across the UT including 1,099 in Kashmir and 347 in Jammu division, while as 3,33,322 persons have recovered and 4,503 have died – 2,312 in Kashmir and 2,191 in Jammu division.
