Directorate of Skill Dev inks MoU with ICT Academy Chennai

JAMMU: Directorate of Skill Development today signed an MOU with M/s ICT Academy Chennai to implement AICTE sponsored Jammu and Kashmir Employability Enhancement Training Programme (JEET) to enhance the competency based Employability Enhancement Training in various sectors to the Pre-Final Year and Final Year students of Polytechnics of Kathua, Kishtwar and Rajouri.

Under the said MOU, training regarding faculty Development, Entrepreneurship Development, Youth Empowerment , Industry-Institute Interaction , Digital Empowerment, Research and Publications will be conducted in identified Polytechnics in collaboration with ICT Academy.

The MOU was signed by Principals of Polytechnic Kathua, Kishtwar and Rajouri and Lovetesh Kumar Project Manager of ICT ACADEMY in presence of Sudershan Kumar, Director Skill Development J&K in his office Chamber at Jammu.

Emphasizing the importance of entering such MOUs with potential industry partners having expertise in field of training and entrepreneurship development, the DSD urged other industry partners willing to forge an alliance with Department of Skill Development to come forward and enter into hand holding initiative which will result in producing not only quality faculty but also pass-outs of high skill calibre acceptable to industry.
