Dist Adm. Srinagar holds KCC Awareness/ Enrolment camp at Lasjan Panchayat

SRINAGAR: The District Administration Srinagar in collaboration with Agriculture Department and other allied departments on Monday organised an awareness camp at Panchayat Halqa Lasjan to register left out farmers of the area under Kissan Credit Card (KCC) scheme so that 100 percent target is achieved in the district.

The Awareness cum Enrolment camp was organized on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad to provide Kissan Credit Cards to all left out farmers in Panchayat Halqa Lasjan of Srinagar Block to ensure all beneficiaries are covered under the scheme so that they are entitled to the benefits of the KCC.

During the awareness camp, farmers of Panchayat Halqa were sensitized about the process of registration and benefits of Kissan Credit Card scheme and enrollment of a large number of beneficiaries was carried out under the scheme on the spot.

The Officers of Agriculture Department, besides Horticulture, Animal/Sheep Husbandry, NABARD, JK Bank Lead Bank, District Coordinator, EDB and officers of other line Departments were present on the occasion to ensure that all uncovered eligible Farmers/ beneficiaries are enrolled for having KCC.
