Dept. of AA&M organizes special exhibition on eve of ‘World Heritage Week’

SRINAGAR: In the wake of ‘World Heritage Week’, the Department of Archives Archaeology and Museums (AA&M) Srinagar has organized a special exhibition from 19th to 25th November 2021, here.

During the special exhibition, the department is exhibiting “Rare Manuscripts and Archival Records” in the Art Gallery at Shergarhi Complex Srinagar and “Photo-Exhibition on Heritage Sites” at SPS Museum Lalmandi Srinagar, to celebrate the World Heritage Week.

World Heritage Week is being celebrated throughout the world from 19th to 25th November. It is the shared wealth of mankind protecting and preserving these valuable assets. These assets demand the collective efforts of the whole community to preserve such valuable assets.

The world heritage week offers an opportunity to raise awareness among the general public/mass about the diversity of cultural heritage and its protection, preservation and conservation for the further generations.

Meanwhile, all the scholars, students, art lovers and the general public are cordially invited to visit the above mentioned venues, in order to have glimpses of old historical records and heritage of Jammu and Kashmir.
