Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday reported 165 new positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), which took the cumulative total of recorded cases to 3,35,368 officials said.

They said 142 cases were reported from Kashmir and 23 from the Jammu division.

They also informed that 160 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 139 from Kashmir and 21 from Jammu division in the last 24 hours.

Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases reported today, they said that Srinagar reported 45 cases, Baramulla 35, Budgam 12, Pulwama three, Kupwara 13, Anantnag seven, Bandipora eight, Ganderbal 18, Kulgam one case while no fresh case was reported in Shopian.

Similarly, Jammu reported 14 cases, Rajouri one, Doda two, Reasi five, Poonch one case while as no new cases were reported Udhampur Kathua, Samba, Kishtwar and Ramban districts.

They also informed that no new case of mucormycosis (black fungus) was reported today.

On vaccination, the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus informs that 39,887doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K so far to 1,61,76,055.

According to the bulletin, out of 3,35,368 positive cases recorded cumulatively so far, currently there are 1,701 active positive cases across J&K including 1,447 in Kashmir and 254 in Jammu division, while as 3,29,206 persons have recovered and 4,461 have died – 2,279 in Kashmir and 2,182 in Jammu division.
