Jammu: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has extended his greetings to the people of J&K on the auspicious occasion of 552nd Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism.

In his message, the LG said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji dedicated his life towards furthering social justice and equality in the society. His teachings are a guiding light for the entire humanity, leading them to the path of righteousness and brotherhood.

“Guru Ji’s life and his message of love, compassion, equality, peace, and brotherhood are key to the formation of a harmonious & progressive society without any discrimination and distinction,” the LG added.

According to an official press release, the LG also observed that the reopening of Kartarpur Sahib Corridor by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this auspicious occasion has fulfilled a cherished demand of the entire Sikh community.

The LG also expressed hope that the celebration of this auspicious event would contribute towards strengthening unity and harmony, and would be a harbinger of peace, progress, and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.
