Srinagar: A 27-year-old youth from central Kashmir’s Budgam drowned to death in river Jhelum at Sheikhpora Sonwar area of Srinagar on Tuesday.
Quoting official sources, news agency KNO reported that Marif Ahmad was extracting sand from river Jhelum when he slipped and subsequently drowned in Jhelum.
His body was fished out by River Police with the help of locals, an official said.
