Fire engine meets with accident before dousing off flames in Kupwara village

Srinagar: A fire engine met with an accident at Qaziabad area as it was rushing to douse off flames in Ranan Kralgund area of Handwara in the north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday.

Official sources said that soon after getting the information regarding a fire incident, a fire tender was rushed to Renan Kralgund but on reaching near Qaziabad, it got trapped in a drain, tilted and fell on a street wall of some structure.

While there was no injury reported to anyway in the accident, a separate fire tender from Dangiwacha was rushed to douse off flames in Renan area, they said. Meanwhile efforts are underway to retrieve the fire tender near Qaziabad, they added. (GNS)
