Pledge taking ceremonies, rallies mark celebration of ‘National Integration Day’ across Kashmir

Srinagar: National Integration Day was today observed across Kashmir valley to celebrate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

A pledge taking ceremony was held at all the district headquarters where the respective District Development Commissioners administered the oath among the district and sectoral officers and took pledge to dedicate themselves and their services to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and to strive hard to spread this message among the fellow countrymen.

On the occasion, the DDCs highlighted the role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in upholding the Unity of the nation. They informed that the leader worked on national integration and devoted his life to the nation.

At Ganderbal: To commemorate the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) a pledge taking ceremony was held in the lawns of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal, wherein Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba administered oath among participants.

Pledge taking ceremony was attended by various district and sectoral officers along with the staff of the district.

Speaking on the occasion, the ADC highlighted the role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in upholding National Unity. He emphasized that there should be the spirit of unification among us to ensure unity, integrity and security of the nation.

At Pulwama: In order to celebrate birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and commemorating it as ‘National Unity Day’ a function was today held at DC Office Pulwama from where a motorcycle rally was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Baseer Ul Haq Chowdhary which culminated at Pinglena.

The event was organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports Pulwama in collaboration with District administration Pulwama under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mohotsav’ being celebrated the 75 years of India’s Independence.

On the occasion, the DDC highlighted the role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in upholding Indian Unity. He said the leader worked on national integration and devoted his life to the nation.

At Anantnag: The Department of Youth Services and Sports Anantnag today organised a bike rally to celebrate Ekta Divas in the district. The rally was taken out by employees of YSS Anantnag from Sarnal to Mattan.

Prior to this a ceremony was also held to pledge integrity, loyalty, and commitment towards the nation.

Similar celebrations were also held at Bijbehara where a cycle rally was held by the students from Subhanpura to Shamsipora. People welcomed the cyclists and bikers at various locations.

At Shopian: Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) was observed in order to celebrate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Shopian.

On the occasion, a pledge ceremony was held at Mini Secretariat Arhama here headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmed Simnani.

The ADC highlighted the role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in upholding Indian Unity.

Simnani stated that Sardar Patel worked on national integration and devoted his life to the nation. He said that there should be the spirit of unification among us to ensure unity, integrity and security of the nation.

Later, a motorcycle rally was flagged off by District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Shopian, Gurmukh Singh Dutta from Batapora here in presence of Dy. Superintendent of Police, Sheezan Ahmed, District Information Officer, Showkat Ahmed Khan and other officers of DYSS which passed through various Bazaars of Shopian.

The event was organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports Shopian in collaboration with District Administration Shopian under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mohotsav’.

A pledge ceremony was also observed on the occasion by DYS&S.

At Kulgam: National Integration Day was observed today at Kulgam to celebrate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Meanwhile, a pledge taking ceremony was held in the lawns of Mini Secretariat Kulgam, wherein Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat administered oath among  officers and all the participants took pledge to dedicate themselves and their services to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and to strive hard to spread this message among the fellow countrymen.

Pledge taking ceremonies were also held in other offices, schools and institutions across the district.

Meanwhile, to observe the Ekta Dewas, the Department of Youth Services and Sports organized a bike rally here at Kulgam which was flagged-off by ADC Kulgam, Showkat Ahmad Rather.

More than 100 bikers participated in the bike rally which started from Sports Stadium Kulgam and passed through the main market Kulgam and culminated at Chawalgam.

At Kupwara: As part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” (National Unity Day) was observed at Kupwara today.

The Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din was the chief guest at the event organised in this regard by Youth Services and Sports Department and District Administration jointly.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner administered the Ekta Pledge to the participants.

Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner flagged off a motorcycle rally from DC Office Kupwara in which a number of school children participated.

The rally passed through different markets of Kupwara town via Zangali and culminated at TRC Kupwara where Deputy Commissioner addressed the rally participants and teachers and staff of YSS Kupwara

The rally was aimed at commemorating the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas.

The officers, officials of various departments were present at the occasion.

At Bandipora: The Bandipora District Administration on Sunday celebrated the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel by observing Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day).

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Zahoor Ahmad Mir administered oath to the officers at Conference Hall Mini Secretariat Bandipora that was attended by all the district Officers and officials.

On the occasion, the ADC highlighted the role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in upholding Indian Unity and stated that Sardar Patel worked on national integration and devoted his life to the nation. He said that there should be the spirit of unification among us to ensure unity, integrity and security of the nation

On the occasion, the district administration and Department of Animal Husbandry also organised two separate Cycle and Bike rallies to spread the message of unity among fellow citizens.

ADC Zahoor Ahmad Mir flagged off the cycle rally organised by District administration near Mini Secretariat Bandipora and later also flagged off the bike rally organised by Department of Animal Husbandry Bandipora.

Students from various educational institutions also participated in the event

Assistant Commissioner Revenue Parvez Rahim, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Bandipora Dr G A Lone and other senior officers were present on the occasion.

The event was organized under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mohotsav’.
