Srinagar: Body of an elderly woman was recovered from River Jhelum near Nawakadal area in downtown Srinagar on Thursday.
Quoting officials, news agency GNS reported that some passersby spotted the body and subsequently informed police. Later a police team recovered the body.
A police official told GNS that identity of the woman is being ascertained.
