Srinagar: Sixteen districts of Jammu and Kashmir have achieved 100% coverage of coverage of first dose Covid vaccine for the age group of above 18 years old whileas the Union Territory reported 75 fresh Covid positive cases today.

Officials said that Anantnag, Bandipora, Baramulla, Budgam, Doda, Ganderbal, Jammu, Kathua, Kulgam, Poonch, Pulwama, Rajouri, Ramban, Samba, Shopian and Srinagar districts have achieved 100% coverage of first dose Covid vaccine for the age group of above 18 years old.

They said that 96,550 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours across the UT bringing the cumulative number of doses administered here to 13,430,141.

“99.89 percent of the population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir,” said the officials.

Meanwhile, 75 new Covid positive cases were reported from J&K – 60 from Kashmir and 15 from Jammu division – thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 330741.

Officials said that out of 330741 positive cases, 946 are Active Positive (218 in Jammu Division and 728 in Kashmir Division), 325369 have recovered and 4426 have died (2174 in Jammu division and 2252 in Kashmir division).

Providing district-wise breakup, officials said that Srinagar reported 37 cases; Baramulla 08 cases; Budgam 05; Pulwama 04; Kupwara 03; Anantnag 02 and Bandipora reported 01 case.

No fresh case was reported Ganderbal, Kulgam and Shopian districts.

In Jammu division, Jammu reported 03 cases; Udhampur 01; Rajouri 01; Doda 05; Samba 01 case and Poonch reported 04 cases.

No fresh case was reported from Ramban, Reasi, Kathua and Kishtwar.
