Leopard captured in Doda district

Pulwama: A leopard was captured by the officials of wildlife department in the Kareva area of Malangpora on Wednesday.

A wildlife official said that the department was receiving information since last three months regarding the leopard roaming in Malangpora, Koil, Jangalnad, Tokuna and its adjacent areas.

While searches were going on, the department had installed a cage in an area frequented by the leopards.

Last night, the leopard finally was trapped in the cage and released in appropriate area, said the official.
