Jammu Kashmir Rural Livelihood Mission Organized Bankers workshop at BK Pora Block

Srinagar: Bankers Workshop was Organized by Block Mission Management Unit, BK Pora Block under Jammu Kashmir Rural Livelihood Mission (Umeed)
The workshop was organised for a smooth coordination between the SHG members of JKRLM Umeed and the Concerned Bank Branches. The workshop was attended by Lead District Manager Budgam Madam Farhat,concerned bank branch representatives financing the SHG members of JKRLM Umeed, Community Cadre, Self Help Group members associated with Rural Livelihood Mission(UMEED),Block Programme Manager B.K Pora Madina Bukhari, MIS Officer BK Pora Owais Ahmad, District Programme Manager Financial Inclusion JKRLM Budgam Jibran Rashid.

Direct interaction was enabled between Self Help Group members and bankers to enable ease of banking for the members of Self Help Groups formed under the ambit of JKRLM UMEED.

Many of the issues like delay in credit disbursal to Self Help Groups, hindrance in leadership change request of Self Help Groups, delay in account opening of Self Help Groups, SHG account title mismatch, besides varied other concerns were discussed threadbare and immediate redressal of the issues was assured by Lead District Manager, District Budgam.

The lead District Manager directed the concerned bank officials to strictly adhere to guidelines pertaining to NRLM/JKRLM/UMEED and to enable ease of Banking to SHG members.

The bankers assured the Self Help Group members of their full support and cooperation with respect to the banking viz a viz Individual Member Account Opening, Credit Linking of Self Help Groups for Creation of Livelihood, besides a consistent coordination with BMMU B K Pora for smooth implementation of the Program was assured.

The session was concluded by Financial Literacy Coordinator Budgam Mushtaq Ahamd wherein he deliberated upon the importance of various social security schemes like PMSBY, PMJJBY, PMJDY, APY and others.
