Dr Farooq condoles with Muhammad Shafi Uri on his mother’s demise

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and Member of Parliament, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, on Tuesday visited Garkoot, Uri to express sympathies and condole with party’s senior leader Muhammad Shafi Uri on the demise of his revered mother, who breathed her last the other day.

While sharing in the grief of the bereaved family, particularly Muhammad Shafi Uri and Dr. Sajad Shafi Uri, Dr. Farooq Abdullah prayed for the departed soul and much-needed strength to the bereaved to bear the inconsolable loss.

“Losing one’s loved one is a poignant experience, but when it is that of one’s mother it is more agonizing. At this moment of deep sorrow, I pray to almighty Allah to grant strength to the bereaved particularly Shafi Sahib and Sajad Sahib all the strength to bear the inconsolable loss. The loss of an affectionate mother is indeed harrowing the entire household. The cord never breaks with the mother. The longer ones parents live, the more exchange of love is there. I pray to almighty to grant the deceased, the highest echelons in Jannat,” he said.

On the occasion, the Party President also offered Fatiha for the deceased.

Later, Party President visited Mustafa Abad, HMT to condole with Party’s Women’s Wing President of District Baramulla Advocate Neelofar Masood to condole with her on the sad demise of her father. The Party President, joined in by number of party functionaries also offered Fatiha for the deceased on the occasion.

Among others Party’s Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Senior leaders Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan, North Zone President Javed Ahmed Dar, South Zone President Dr. Bashir Ahmed Veeri, MP Hassnain Masoodi, Political Advisor to Vice President Tanvir Sadiq, Provincial Vice Presidents Israr Khan, and Ahsan Pardesi; District President Ramban Sajad Shaheen, District President Kulgam Abdul Majeed Bhat Larmi, GH Rahi, Irshaad Kar, Advocate Shahid Ali, Advocate Jehangir Yaqoob Wani also accompanied the party president on his visit to the bereaved Uri household at Garkoot Uri.

Party President Dr. Farooq Abdullah has also expressed profound grief over the demise of renowned spiritual figure Hazrat Ghulam Rasool Malik (Lal Sahib) of Dardsun, Kupwara.

In his condolence message he said, “Hazrat Lal Sahib is a household name in north Kashmir. Known for his spiritual eminence, he watered the sacred mission of serving humanity. His mission was to offer succor and solace to the suffering masses of Kashmir. He encouraged people to live a life of piety and discipline and stressed that the real devotion of the Almighty was in the service of suffering man.”

“The great saint exhorted people to overcome pride, anger, greed, lust, and excessive involvement in worldly affairs.  I express my unison with his bereaved family of his and his innumerous devotees at this difficult time. May Almighty grant highest echelons to the deceased in the Jannat,” he said.

Meanwhile, Party’s Senior Leader Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan, Mir Saifullah and Party MPs Muhammad Akbar Lone and Hassnain Masoodi have also condoled the demise of noted spiritual figure and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family.
