Anantnag: Principal Secretary Skill Development Department, Dr. Asgar Samoon, today inaugurated cafeteria in Polytechnic College Larkipora besides laying foundation stone for hostel in the institute.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Secretary said that the present dispensation is committed towards building latest infrastructure and other facilities in polytechnic colleges and other skill development institutions of the Union Territory. He added that numerous initiatives are being launched by the government to enhance the standards of technical education being imparted to youth in Jammu and Kashmir.
He exhorted upon the eligible youth to pursue various skill development courses being offered by different institutions so as to enhance their skill and thus employability. He also asked the college managements to spread awareness regarding the skill development courses available in their respective institutions besides highlighting significance of these employment-oriented streams.
Director Skill Development, Principal of the college, other officials and students were present on the occasion.
