PC holds remembrance meet for Moulvi Iftikhar Ansari

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference (JKPC) on Thursday held a remembrance meeting at the party headquarters here to pay tributes to Moulvi Iftikhar Ansari sahib on his 7th death anniversary.

The leaders highlighted the crucial role played by Moulvi Iftikhar sahib in the upliftment of the downtrodden people and empowering them to fight for their dignity, rights and entitlements with impeccable will and determination.

Those who spoke on the occasion include Mohammad Abbas Wani who gave an emotional tribute to Moulvi sahib and remembered his contributions to the entire people of J&K. He fondly recalled Moulvi sahibs support and encouragement in his personal life and political life.

Senior leader Khurshid Alam also spoke on the occasion stating that the noted religious cleric will be remembered for times to come for his tireless efforts in empowering and uplifting the downtrodden sections of the society and his affection and love for the people.

Senior leader Mansoor Soharvardi also paid glowing tributes to Moulvi sahib. He fondly recalled the role Maulvi sahib played in grooming young political leaders, his steadfastness in standing up for what was right and his unmatched adherence to principles and values that he cherished.

The PC leaders and functionaries who attended the meeting are Fayaz Ahmed Mir, Nazir Ahmed Laway, Mansoor Soharvardi, Mohammad Khurshid Alam, Adv Bashir Ahmed Dar, Yasir Reshi, Raja Aijaz Ali, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Adnan Ashraf Mir and Tasaduq Yaseen.
