Female cricketers call on DC Kupwara

Kupwara: A group of female cricketers of Kupwara district today called on Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din, in his office chamber here to discuss issues confronting them.

While interacting with the Deputy Commissioner, the cricketers demanded different facilities including sports equipment and a playground.

After discussion with two teams of cricketers who belong from different areas of the district, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Youth Services & Sports Officer Kupwara for registration of the cricketers under Youth Mission so that they get benefits in the form of sports equipment and relevant facilities under government schemes.

He also directed AC Panchayats for identification and development of playfield under 14th F.C for the female cricketers.

JD Planning, ACR and AD Planning were present on the occasion.
