Yasha Mudgul reviews progress on DCP, four-laning project at Ramban

Ramban: Secretary Cooperative Department, Yasha Mudgal, who is also the Secretary incharge of district Ramban, reviewed progress made by the different departments under District Capex Plan, National Projects, Covid containment measures and arrangements for scheduled visit of Union Ministers to district in a meeting here today.

Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam, ADC Harbans Lal, CPO, Dr. Kasturi Lal, CMO, CEO, CHO, CAO, CAHO, DSHO, Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti, JPDCL, REW, PWD and PMGSY besides various other District and Sectoral officers attended the meeting.

Besides reviewing the arrangements being made by the district administration relating to scheduled visits of union ministers to the district, the Secretary reviewed sector wise progress on different development projects and implementation of financial assistance and other beneficiary oriented schemes which are under progress in the district.

While reviewing the status of the National Highway Four Laning and Projects, the Secretary directed the district administration to ensure immediate installation of crash barriers, parapets and protection walls at all vulnerable locations from Nashri to Banihal to prevent road accidents.

While appreciating the district administration for taking effective Covid containment measures especially during 2nd surge of Covid-19 besides augmenting the health infrastructure across the district, Yasha Mudgul directed the Health Department to achieve 100% targets by vaccinating the targeted population in the district. She also reviewed the status of Covid testing and availability of Medical Oxygen and other emergency medicines.

She directed the Executive Engineers especially to EE, REW to complete tendering process of all approved works under District Capex Plan and Area Development Fund of all three tiers of PRIs. She further directed them to achieve 100% physical and financial targets during the current fiscal.

The Secretary also directed the Lead District Manager to ensure quick disbursement of priority sector loans especially PMEGP to implement all financial assistance schemes meant for the betterment of youth.

She also reviewed the progress on Yatri Niwas being constructed by the CPWD at Chanderkote besides status of availability of facilities at RAHAT centres and shelter sheds alongside NH-44.

Earlier, the DC gave a detailed presentation of developmental activities including ongoing national projects like Railway and widening of NH-44 being executed by the different agencies. He also informed the Secretary about steps taken by the District Administration for the establishment of Display Board at prominent locations alongside NH-44 to disseminate information of road conditions and traffic advisories, Nari Niketan, Bal Ashram, Industrial Estate,   Medical Oxygen Gas Plants Banihal and Batote besides area extension activities being carried out by the Agriculture and allied departments across the district.

He also informed about implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission and implementation of plan formulated for restoration of water bodies.

The Secretary asked the officers to work with coordination and dedication to achieve tangible results in the development.
