Jammu: National Conference Provincial President, Devender Singh Rana, today lauded the growing interest being shown by young and educated people in launching their own units rather than hankering after jobs

Rana said that entrepreneurship is definitely a viable option, not only for self-sustenance and growth, but for generating jobs as well.

“Apart from making a good living in a business proposition, entrepreneurs can draw satisfaction in generating jobs for skilled and unskilled workforce,” Rana said while inaugurating an enterprise which is the joint initiative of Amit Wadhera and Taniya Wadhera in the city outskirts, who earlier had their main branch at Shastri Nagar for almost three years.

Rana hoped that a positive approach and progressive vision in the private sector can be beneficial for society. It is the ethical responsibility of the entrepreneurs to ensure supply of credible products at affordable prices. “Credibility is a huge investment in the business sector and those engaged in entrepreneurship should understand it for having harmonious relationships with clientele,” he maintained.

Wadheras took Devender Rana to various sections of the showroom and briefed in detail about their enterprise.

“It is good to have own income-generating unit and also to be an employer,” Rana observed, saying such ventures are small but significant sources of employment generation, especially in an era when job crunch is at its peak.

Prominent among those present during the inaugural function included Rattan Lal Gupta, Abdul Gani Teli, Ab Majeed Bittu Teli, Hafiz Choudhary, Sarpanch Raika, S. Sandeep Singh, Parvez Malik, Imran, Darshan Lal and other prominent locals of the area.

Earlier, Rana participated in a promotion of a musical album ‘Nikka Nikka Hasna’ the first video performed and sung by Jackson (J R. Sharma), a choreographer and performer with lyrics of Ramesh Parwana. The music and recording of the album is by Surinder Singh Manhas while Poonam Sharma has been choreographer, Ashok Jasrotia D.O.P, Manas Sharma, Sound Recordist. The album has been supported by All J&K Choreographers Association.
