Delegation of Shia political Conference calls on SEC

Srinagar: A delegation of Shia political Conference, Jammu and Kashmir today called on the State Election Commissioner (SEC) K.K Sharma and presented a memorandum regarding re-defining six Assembly constituencies of the UT.

The six constituencies which they demanded to be redefined include Zaidbal, Nigeen, Magam, Budgam, Pattan and Beerwah constituencies.

While, interacting with the deputation, the SEC said that delimitation is in process and assured them that the issues raised by them would be looked into.

Pertinently, several delegations are continuously meeting the SEC and are projecting their issues and demands viz-à-viz a delimitation process.
