J&K Bank CMD chairs customer meet in Shimla

Shimla: J&K Bank Chairman and Managing Director, R K Chhibber, on Sunday presided over ‘Customer Interactive Session’ in Shimla.

On the occasion, the CMD said: “Every commercial institution seeking excellence must have feedback about its functioning, services and products it offers to its customers and that is the main purpose of this interactive session with you. And today on the eve of auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan I duly acknowledge your presence and appreciate this sense of bonding with our Bank.”

“With growth and efficiency as focus areas, I believe, this visit will not only result in improving our services here but will further strengthen and deepen bonds with you besides expansion in our business here,” he said.

The meeting was attended by a large gathering of bank’s most valued clients including Director M/S UTRI HR Services Pvt Ltd Naresh Chauhan, Director M/s Alpine Holiday Inns India Pvt Ltd Ashok Kukreja, Secretary M/s Sanvi Education Society Vishal Chauhan and prominent Advocate Balwant Kukreja among others besides Head Business Unit Shimla Deepak Sharma and other bank officials from Shimla, Solan business units.

The participants lauded the CMD for his visit besides paying personal attention towards their concerns. They praised the bank’s services and unique personal connect while reiterating their loyalty and long lasting relationship with the institution. They, however, put forth some suggestions like delegating more powers to Branch Heads for speedy disposal of credit proposals and enhancement, opening of a new banking outlets in Shimla.

The Chairman thanked the participants for open and frank discussion while raising important issues. “Let me employ this occasion to tell you that J&K Bank has consistently been performing very well despite the ongoing pandemic and our balance sheet today is much stronger to meet the future challenges. With a sound strategy for business-growth, we are expanding wherever viable and we are consolidating wherever required. Therefore, whatever issues have come up for the discussions here would be considered seriously on the basis of merit and would be resolved within the Bank’s laid-down guidelines,” the CMD said.

The CMD assured the participants all the possible financial support in developing their existing business besides establishing new ventures and urged them to support the Bank’s expansion plan to garner more business in Shimla and other parts.

The Head BU Shimla concluded the session by presenting vote of thanks. While expressing his gratitude to the CMD for his gracious presence, he thanked all the participants for spending their precious time and giving their honest feedback. All the customers expressed their gratitude to the CMD for patient listening of their issues and the subsequent responses in an affable manner.

Earlier during the day, the CMD had also visited bank’s two business units at Shimla and Solan. During his interaction with the staff, the CMD stressed upon the need to delight customers through professional conduct laced with a personal connect.
