‘Sadbhavna Diwas’ observed across various districts of Kashmir

Srinagar: The ‘Sadbhavna Diwas’ was today observed across various districts of Kashmir to mark the 77th birth Anniversary of late Prime Minister of India Rajiv Gandhi.

On the occasion, Sadbhavna pledge was administered to the Officers/Officials and the respective Deputy Commissioners highlighted the importance of National Integration and Communal Harmony among the people of all religions, languages and regions.

It was informed that the Sadbhavna Diwas is celebrated to eschew violence and promote goodwill among people by resolving all differences among each other through dialogue and constitutional means without resorting to violence.

At Srinagar: On the eve of Sadbhavana Diwas or Harmony Day, a pledge taking ceremony was organized by District Administration Srinagar at Meeting Hall of DC Office Complex, here today.

On the occasion, the DC Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad administered the Pledge of Sadbhavana to the Officers and Officials of the DC office.

During the Pledge taking ceremony participants expressed their strong will to promote national integration and communal harmony among people of all religions, casts, regions and languages which is the main aim and objective of the Sadbhavana Diwas.

At Ganderbal: On the eve of Sadhbavana Diwas, a pledge taking ceremony was today organized by District Administration Ganderbal at Mini Secretariat here.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna administered the Pledge of Sadhbavana to the Officers and Officials of the DC office.

During the Pledge taking ceremony participants expressed their strong will to work for the emotional oneness and harmony of all people regardless of religion, region, caste or language and further pledged that they will resolve all differences through dialogue and constitutional means without resorting to violence.

At Anantnag: Sadbhavana Diwas was observed with great enthusiasm in all public establishments of the district today, here.

While observing this event, a pledge was read out and administered to the officials by respective heads of the offices.

The participants pledged to work together for the emotional oneness and harmony of all people of the country regardless of caste, region, religion or language besides resolving all differences through dialogue and constitutional means without resorting to violence.

At Shopian: To work for the emotional harmony of all the people irrespective of caste, religion and language, ’Sadbhavana Diwas’ was held today at the Meeting Hall of Mini Secretariat here.

The theme of Sadbhavana is to promote National Integration and Communal Harmony among people of all religions, languages and regions.

On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmed Simnani administered the pledge to the Heads, officers and officials of all the departments.

The ADC emphasised upon all the employees to work with dedication, zest, zeal and honesty for the welfare and good-will of the people who have great expectations with the Government.

Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Shahbaz Ahmed Bodha, Deputy Chief Medical Officer besides other officers and officials were present.

At Kulgam: Sadbhavana Diwas was observed across the district and in this regard pledge taking ceremony was organized in various offices.

During the Pledge taking ceremony participants expressed their strong will to promote national integration and communal harmony among people of all religions, casts, regions and languages which is the main aim and objective of the Sadbhavana Diwas.

At Bandipora: The District Administration Bandipora on Friday observed ‘Sadbhavana Diwas’ across the district and pledge was taken by government employees to promote national integration and communal harmony among people of all religions and languages.

Main function was organized at Conference hall Mini Secretariat Bandipora wherein Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad administered the pledge to the officers and officials.

Additional District Development Commissioner Ali Afsar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Zahoor Ahmad Mir and other senior officers of the district were present.

Dr Owais said the main theme of Sadbhavana Diwas is to promote national integration and communal harmony among people of all religions and languages. He urged the audience to work for encouraging these basic values of our country.

Similar functions were held at Sub Division Sumbal and Gurez wherein respective SDMs administered oath to the employees. Degree Colleges and other education institutions besides District Police also observed the day and pledged to promote national integration and communal harmony among people of all religions and languages.
