Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday reported 114 new COVID-19 cases while one fresh fatality was also reported in Jammu division in the last 24 hours, officials said.

They said of the fresh cases, 80 were reported from Kashmir and 34 from the Jammu division of the Union territory.

One death was also reported from the Jammu region, while as 114 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 73 from Kashmir and 41 from the Jammu division, they said, adding so far 99.62 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu and Kashmir.

They also informed one new case of Mucormycosis (black fungus) infection was reported today, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 38 in the UT.

According to the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus (COVIDd-19), out of 3,22,885 positive cases recorded cumulatively so far, currently there are 1,297 are positive cases across the UT, while as 3,17,195 persons have recovered and 4,393 have died – 2,239 in Kashmir and 2,154 in Jammu division.

The bulletin further said that out of 1,23,64,041 test results available, 1,20,41,156 samples have tested as negative till today.
