Srinagar: To ensure punctuality and transparency in the Department of Horticulture, Director General, Horticulture Kashmir, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat today paid a surprise visit to various subordinate offices of the Department in District Pulwama. He took stock of daily routine work in the offices and stressed on accountability and transparency in work.
The Director General also visited various High Density orchards in the District where he interacted with the orchardists and patiently listened to their demands also assured them of every possible support.
Meanwhile, he instructed field functionaries of the Department to provide all technical knowhow to the orchardists right from training and pruning to harvesting including thinning, fertigation, nutrient management, pest/disease management etc.
On the occasion, Director General warned that any laxity on the part of field functionaries will entail strict action against them.
