Srinagar: Two years after the abrogation of Article 370, there is a wide-ranging debate on if and how much things have changed after the momentous decision.

While the debate will go on and dust is yet to settle to reveal the true impact of the decision but the UT has come a long way in one sense. It is inconceivable that 29 years after then BJP chief MM Joshi took out a yatra to hoist a tricolour at Lal Chowk (1992), the valley is awash with tricolours at various locations in different sizes.

While the event in 1992 had triggered some anxieties, this time around, the development is being welcomed in the valley in conjunction with other momentous changes. The crowning glory would however be the tallest Tricolour set to be inaugurated at Gulmarg in coming week.

The skyline of Gulmarg will soon be characterised by 100 feet tall tricolour that has been made possible by efforts of INDIAN ARMY in collaboration with Solar Industries Pvt Ltd.

Preparations are currently underway for an inauguration ceremony at Gulmarg to install the national flag and a small video is doing the rounds in the media highlighting the significance of the event.

The spot is already gaining the popularity in the area where in tourists are stopping for clicking selfies with the backdrop of National Flag & eagerly waiting to see it in its final stage.
