Pulwama: One of the two militants killed in a forest area of Namibian and Marsar on Saturday morning has been identified as top Jaish-e-Muhamad commander Lamboo, police said.

“Top most #Pakistani militant affiliated with JeM outfit Lamboo killed in today’s #encounter. Identification of second one being ascertained. #Congratulations to Army & @AwantiporPolice,” Kashmir zone police tweeted as per news agency—KashmirNews Observer (KNO)

Earlier, a senior police officer told KNO that two militants were killed while as the search operation was on in the area.

“Exact location of #encounter is between Namibian & Marsar, general area #Dachigam forest,” the police had tweeted.

Earlier, an official said that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on specific information about the presence of militants in the area—(KNO)
