Director RDD reviews progress on flagship schemes, CAPEX

Srinagar: Director, Rural Development Department, Kashmir, Tariq Ahmad Zargar, today convened a meeting to review progress achieved under various flagship schemes and CAPEX 2021-22.

All Project Officers Wage Employment (ACDs) and Executive Engineers REW of Kashmir division attended the meeting virtually.

It was informed during the meeting that under CD and Panchayat sector 616 works have been completed against the approved target of 1239 works. Besides, 12 Panchayat Bhawans have been completed and construction of 86 panchayat ghars has been approved under RGSA.

Under MGNREGA, 10515 works have been started against the target of 70003 works and 22.28 lakh persondays have been generated till date which is 79% of the total target. Under PMAY(G), 6793 units have been completed against the target of 7862 units.

Director enjoined upon the concerned officers to achieve the targets within stipulated time lines besides ensuring release of wage payment under MGNREGA within fixed time. He also asked them to take up new works so as to provide succor to the rural labourers during COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier, Director chaired a meeting of all Executive Engineers REWs of Kashmir division to review the status of preparation of DPRs for construction of DDC and BDC office buildings approved under CAPEX 2021-22.

It was informed that during the current year 10 DDC office buildings and 24 BDC office buildings are to be constructed.
