Dir RDD concludes visit to Gurez, Tulail, Bagtoor blocks

GUREZ: Director, Rural Development Department Kashmir, Tariq Ahmad Zargar, today concluded his three-day tour to Gurez, Tulail and Bagtoor blocks to review progress on implementation of various flagship schemes in these areas.

Director interacted with the Chairpersons of Block Development Councils, Sarpanchs, Panchs and locals who highlighted their grievances and demands seeking an early redressal to the same.

Director issued on-spot directions to the concerned for early mitigation of the issues raised by the participants.

During his extensive visit, Director visited several areas and inspected various development works including construction of road at PTL Tulail, construction of block hut at Sheikhpora Tulail, construction of Playground at Khandayal and construction of CC path at Chorwan besides other vital works.

Director also had a series of review meetings with respective officers and officials of RDD to take stock of various works being executed by the department in these blocks.

Director was informed that 14400 of Persondays shall be generated during the current financial year in Baktoor, Gurez and Tulail under MGNREGA.

Director stressed upon the field functionaries to speed-up the execution of works under different schemes. He also issued directions to the BDOs and the engineering staff for regular monitoring of the schemes. He stressed upon the officers to expedite the completion of works in view of short working season in Sub Division Gurez.
