Srinagar: Director, Tourism, Kashmir, Dr. G N Itoo, today visited here and interacted with various tourism stakeholders.

During the interaction, the Director Tourism took an appraisal of the issues, demands and difficulties of the stakeholders including accommodation unit holders, shikarawallas and other service providers. He also inspected the facilities and services for tourists at the famous lake town.

Dr. Itoo assured the stakeholders to look into their suggestions, demands and issues. He said the Department would examine their demand of holding a festival at Manasbal once the COVID-19 situation further improves.

During the visit, the Director also visited Waltab where he inspected the assets of the Department for the visitors. He impressed upon the Departmental officials for regular upkeep and maintenance of these assets so that the pilgrims to the shrine of Hazrat Baba Shukr u Din (R.A.) and tourists travelling to Gurez and Bandipora are facilitated.

Senior officers and officials of the Department accompanied the Director during the visit.
