DC Srinagar visits SMHS, Lal Ded Hospitals

Srinagar: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today on Sunday conducting a City tour and visited SMHS Hospital, Lal Ded  Hospital, Panthachowk Highway, Mominabad Batamaloo and other areas to inspect the ongoing Covid-19 Vaccination process to achieve 100 percent target.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Syed Hanief Balkhi, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Jameel and other concerned officers accompanied the DC during the visit.

While interacting with the Vaccination staff, the Deputy Commissioner asked them to ensure smooth conduct of the process with strict adherence to the Covid-19 protocols. He enjoined upon them to work with added zeal and dedication to achieve the cent percent target in order to safeguard the health of the citizens.

The DC said the administration has mobilized all the resources from Administration to scale-up the ongoing Covid-19 vaccination to achieve the  target within a set deadline.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner also took stock of the enforcement measures undertaken for ensuring strict adherence to Covid Appropriate Behavior such as wearing of masks, maintaining personal hygiene and social distancing. The DC said that strict action will be taken against the persons found violating Covid safety protocols. He said unvaccinated persons remain at risk of infection and also put others lives at risk as well.

The DC said vaccination and CAB are only available means with us to fight Covid-19. He reiterated his appeal to the unvaccinated population of Srinagar to take Covid-19 jab at the nearest vaccination site to safeguard whole society from deadly coronavirus virus particularly from the expected 3rd wave as predicted by the health experts.
