SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, has extended his warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Sant Kabir Das Ji Jayanti.

In his message of felicitations, the Lt Governor observed that Sant Kabir, mystic poet and a weaver, had brought great social reforms with his writings, popularly known as Kabir’s Dohas and made an invaluable impact on the social structure of India.

Through his teachings and philosophy, Sant Kabir, an exponent of Bhakti Movement, had spread the message of oneness, peace, and social justice, which would continue to inspire the generations to come, added the Lt Governor.

The Lt Governor urged the people to follow Sant Kabir’s ideals of universal brotherhood and social harmony, which are more relevant in the modern era, for building a better society to live in.

On this auspicious occasion, I pray for sustained peace, progress, and prosperity in the UT and well-being of its people, said the Lt Governor.
