Srinagar: A policeman was on Tuesday evening shot dead by the unidentified gunmen at Nowgam area in Srinagar outskirts.
Official sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a cop identified as Parvez Ahmad Dar of B K Pora in Nowgam was fired upon by the suspected militants.
The cop was immediately rushed to SMHS hospital in Srinagar where he was declared brought dead.
Medical Superintendent of SMHS, Kanwaljeet Singh told KNO that the injured who had sustained bullet injury was brought dead at the hospital. (KNO)
