Shopian: A constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police was on Monday injured after his service rifle went off accidentally in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

An official told the news agency that a constable identified as Sajad Ahmad Malla received bullet injury on his foot after his service rifle went off accidentally in police vehicle.

He said that the police party was on way to Kathulallan Keller area for practice fire.

He added that injured constable is undergoing treatment at district hospital Shopian and his condition is stated to be stable—(KNO)
