2 persons from south Kashmir go missing

Srinagar: Families of two persons from south Kashmir’s Shopian and Kulgam districts, who have gone missing, Wednesday sought help of the authorities and the general public in tracing them.

The missing persons have been identified as Irfan Mushtaq Lone (20), son of Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, resident of Check-e-Bala Awneera in Zainapora belt of Shopian district; and Fayaz Ahmad Lone, son of Sonaullah Lone, resident of Badroo Yaripora in Kulgam district.

Family members of Irfan said that he left home three days back and didn’t come back. They said his mobile phone remains switched off.

They said they contacted his friends, all relatives and even neighbours but couldn’t get any clue after which they have also lodged his missing report at the concerned police station.

Meanwhile Mohammad Shafi, brother of Fayaz Ahmad said that Fayaz is mentally ill and has left home around a week back and hasn’t returned since.

He said that they have been searching for him in entire south Kashmir but have failed to trace him.

Families of both missing persons have appealed the administration and the public for help in tracing them.
