Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole Saturday called for cent percent saturation of COVID vaccination of the targeted age groups and urged the districts to emulate Shopian and Ganderbal districts.
Chaired a meeting on Covid-19 vaccination in Kashmir at Divisional Covid-19 Control Room here, Pole reviewed the progress achieved in the ongoing vaccination campaign.
He appreciated the efforts put by Ganderbal and Shopian districts for achieving 100 percent target and Bandipora for affecting 90 percent vaccination of the targeted age group of 45 years and above. He also directed the administrations of others districts to pace up the vaccination coverage in this age group on a war-footing basis.
The Div Com stressed for further augmentation of efforts by involving all the line departments in different districts in order to achieve 100 percent vaccination coverage by the end of next week to reduce the risk of transmission of this dreadful virus in Kashmir division.
He also exhorted upon the other districts to emulate the Ganderbal and Shopian model for achieving 100 percent coverage in their respective districts.
