CRPF men fire shots in air at Kralpora, no injuries reported

Srinagar: Suspected militants on Friday fired upon a Central Reserve Police Force party in Kralpora area of Central Kashmir Budgam district.

CRPF Spokesperson for Srinagar sector, Abhiram confirmed the incident and told KNO that the suspected militants fired upon the CRPF party from nearby fields in Kralpora area.

He said that there was, however, no injury reported while the area has been cordoned off to nab attackers.

However, some sources said that CRPF fired two to three shots in air after some youth pelted stones at their vehicle near Kralpora area of Chadooora in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday.

The sources said that the paramilitary men were going for COVID-19 deployment duties when they were pelted with stones in the area.

“To disperse the miscreants, 2-3 shots were fired in air by the troops. No damage or injuries was reported,” the sources said.
