DDC Vice Chairperson Shopian, JKNPF President call on Lt Governor

SRINAGAR: Irfan Manhas, Vice-Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC), Shopian today called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, here at Raj Bhavan.

Sh. Manhas put forth various issues of public importance from Shopian pertaining to upgradation of District Hospital, Maternity & Trauma hospital, development of sports infrastructure, youth engagement programmes, Cluster model village, enhancement of road connectivity, establishment of women’s degree college, macadamization of Bijbehara-Zainapora-Shopian road.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Muzaffar, President, Jammu & Kashmir Nationalist Peoples’ Front apprised the Lt Governor about various welfare issues of Gujjar Bakerwal Community. He also projected issues pertaining to schooling of the children belonging to the tribal community living in far-flung areas, besdies macadamization of Shangas-Chattabal road.

While interacting with the visiting representatives, the Lt Governor observed that the Government is taking comprehensive measures to ensure equitable and balanced development of Jammu and Kashmir.

We are committed to working for the welfare of all sections of the society without any discrimination and the concerning issues of the people of the J&K are being addressed on priority, added the Lt Governor.
