Srinagar: A Female Multipurpose Health Worker (FMPHW), working at PHC Srigufwara, Murtaza Mohi-u-din Jan has thanked the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha for mentioning her name in monthly Radio Talk show ‘Awaam ki Awaaz’ and recognizing her work during the ongoing pandemic COVID-19.

Last week, Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha dedicated monthly Radio talk show to corona warriors who are at the forefront in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic across the Union Territory and recognized their work and efforts they are putting in while dealing with the hard task of COVID-19.

During the programme, LG Sinha, shared some of the inspiring stories of good Samaritans and saluted their spirit and dedication towards human service.

Like other frontline healthcare workers (Nurses and paramedics), Murtaza Jan is at the forefront of this COVID-19 health crisis and is constantly managing both office work as well as home related responsibilities.

Murtaza Jan, who has been dealing with the COVID related work since the day of her appointment, said that it was heartening to hear that LG Manoj Sinha mentioned my name in Awaam ki Awaaz talk show and recognized my work.

“It was an amazing feeling that I was approached by Lt Governor’s office and he himself mentioned my name in the radio talk show and recognized my work,” an elated Jan said. “It is inspiring that our work is being recognized by Lieutenant Governor himself.”

Jan further says that despite catching Covid, she recovered and continued her work of testing as well as treating COVID patients.

Jan adds that CORONA is a very dreadful disease and appeals to the general public to follow Covid appropriate behavior, follow proper SOPs and guidelines so that the chain of virus breaks and the spread of the virus is contained.
