Srinagar: An unidentified woman on Thursday allegedly committed suicide by jumping into the River Jhelum in Safakadal area of Srinagar, officials said.
Officials said that the locals have informed that an unidentified woman has jumped into the river from Safakadal (bridge) at around 6:00 PM.
“A police team reached the spot following which the rescue operation was launched. There are no traces of the woman so far while the rescue operation has been halted for the night,” an official said. (KNO)
