J&K reports 65 deaths, 4509 fresh Covid cases

Srinagar: The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir recorded 65 deaths during past 24 hours while as 4509 people tested positive for Covid-19 during the same period.

Officials said that 2750 persons tested positive from Kashmir and1759 from Jammu division taking the tally of infected people to 229407.

Out of 65 deaths, 46 were reported from Jammu and 19 from Kashmir division, officials said, adding, with these fresh deaths the toll in the UT has mounted to 2912.

In the meantime, 3603 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 1316 from Jammu and 2287 from Kashmir Division, said the officials.

The officials further said that out of 229407 positive cases, 51542 are Active Positive and 174953 have recovered so for.

Srinagar district once again topped the number of positive cases reporting 863 followed by Jammu district with 621cases.

Baramulla reported reported 377 cases; Budgam, 260; Pulwama, 327; Kupwara, 81; Anantnag, 233; Bandipora, 108; Ganderbal, 139; Kulgam 200 and; Shopian reported 162 cases today.

In Jammu division, Udhampur reported 149 Covid positive cases; Rajouri, 230; Doda, 190; Kathua, 193; Kishtwar, 83; Samba, 105; Poonch, 86; Ramban, 78 and; Reasi reported 24 cases.

Among the total 229407 positive cases in J&K, 20681have been reported as travelers while 208726 as others, officials said.
