Srinagar: Traffic authorities on Saturday announced that one-way traffic from Jammu towards Srinagar shall be allowed tomorrow on Jammu-Srinagar highway, the only surface link connecting Kashmir valley with the outside world.
“Subject to fair weather and better road condition, LMVs (passenger) shall be allowed from Jammu towards Srinagar on the highway,” the traffic department said in a communiqué to GNS. It said that LMVs shall ensure that cross Nagrota (Jammu) between 0800 to 1300 hours and Jakheni (Udhampur) between 09000 to 1400 hours. No vehicle shall be allowed after the cut-off timings.
Regarding HMVs, it said, only stranded vehicles between Jawahar Tunnel and Banihal shall be allowed towards Jammu. (GNS)
