Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference (JKPC) chairman Sajad Gani Lone on Tuesday felicitated people on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, praying that the sacred month may ease the sufferings the humankind is engulfed in due to the prevalent pandemic across the globe.

In a statement issued here, Lone has urged the Muslims to pray for peace and prosperity of humanity in general and the people of Jammu and Kashmir in particular, who are going through tumultuous times. He further urged the people to commit themselves to the remembrance and service of Allah and seek His forgiveness and blessings.

Underlining the importance of adhering to the COVID-19 SOPs, Lone has urged people to ensure that the guidelines issued by the administration in view of the COVID-19 outbreak are strictly observed and followed in markets and in Masjids across J&K.

Lone also implored the government to ensure the availability of all essential commodities besides uninterrupted power and water supply especially in the rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir during this holy month.
