Develop Manda walking track under Smart City Project: Div Com Jmu directs officers

JAMMU: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer, today directed the concerned officers to prepare a comprehensive project report for the overall development of Manda morning walkers track (alongside Manda Zoo Jammu).

He issued the directions during his visit to the track for assessing the development requirements there. He was accompanied by Mayor JMC, Chander Mohan Gupta; Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Satish Sharma; DFO Wildlife Warden, Amit Sharma and other concerned officers.

The Divisional Commissioner along with other concerned officers took a round of the entire track and assessed the development requirements. He directed the concerned to develop the track under the Smart City project and asked the concerned departments to prepare DPR for up-gradation of facilities without disturbing the Natural soundings.

Meanwhile, the Div Com also interacted with the locals and inquired about the basic facilities which need to be upgraded for the convenience of the public.

The Div Com also instructed the concerned for the development of track by proper landscaping, provisions of public toilets for public convenience and other facilities.
