Karnah: A 20-years-old man died after being hit by shooting stone in Karnah area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, Tuesday.

According to reports Amir Chaneeza, son of Mohammad Shafi Shaneeza, resident of Murchana Ibkote died after he was the hit by a shooting stone in Murchana Reyala area of Karnah.

A police official also confirmed the death, saying a case has been registered in this regard.

Meanwhile on Sunday, Army rescued two individuals who were struck in snow at the Sadhna Pass.

At 08:30 PM on March 21, Army authorities were informed by locals that two civilians — Nazeer Ahmad Beigh (38) from Khowarpara, and Fayaz Ahmad Sheikh from Teethwal, were stuck in a vehicle (JK01AJ-9319) towards Chowkibal ahead of Sadhna Pass, Army said.

Avalanche Rescue Team of Sadhna Pass immediately swung into action amidst heavy snow, rescued them from Muhree Nala, Army said, adding that the rescued persons were housed at Sadhna Pass and provided basic amenities for the night.
