Bandipora: The Jammu and Kashmir police on Thursday claimed ta have busted a fake job racket in Sumbal area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district and arrested three persons .

An official told the news agency (KNO) that based on a specific information regarding innocent youths being misguided and duped by a group of people on the pretext of providing jobs in various government departments, FIR NO 23/2021 U/S 120B, 420 IPC was registered in police station Sumbal and investigation was taken up.

He said that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted on the directions of SSP Bandipora Rahul Malik comprising of DySP PC Hajin, DO PP Ajas and investigating officer of PS Hajin and PP Ajas.

“The team immediately swung in to action and arrested three accused persons namely Irfan Ahmad Wani son of Mohammad Ashraf Wani, Manzoor Ahmad Pandit son of Ghulam Mohiuddin Pandit—both residents of SK Bala and Bilal Ahmad Dar son Ghulam Nabi Dar, a resident of Asham,” he said.

He said that preliminary inquiry revealed that the gang was involved in luring innocent youths to pay money in lieu of providing them jobs in different goverment departments.

“Original sets of testimonials and some admit cards of candidates, whom the group was trying to dupe have been recovered. Further investigation of the case is going on,” he said—(KNO)
