Dir Horti Jmu reviews performance of department in districts

JAMMU: Director Horticulture Jammu, Ram Savak, today chaired the meeting of Chief Horticulture Officers, Chief Canning Instructor and Manager cum Chemists of Jammu Division here at Horticulture Complex Talab Tillo, to review the progress of various developmental activities (Physical & Financial) being carried out during the current financial year in the districts.

He asked the officers to submit the detail of physical and financial progress made under CAPEX budget/MIDH scheme /Backyard plantation/High-density plantation/Strawberry cultivation during the financial year till date besides progress in other components of Centrally Sponsored Schemes like ATMA, PMDP, PMKSY, RKVY and TBO including ongoing civil works.

During the meeting, the Director impressed upon all the officers to complete spring season plantation both in temperate as well as in the subtropical region, besides achieving other allotted targets.  He also reviewed the response regarding the sale of fruit plants and value-added products in the facilitation centres across Jammu Division.

The Director Horticulture further instructed the officers to submit the progress in respect of production of quality planting material/rootstock in the Departmental Nurseries and inventory of Departmental Nurseries besides progress on establishment of Mother blocks undertaken.

During the meeting certain issues were raised by the officers, the Director Horticulture gave a patient hearing to them and assured that all their genuine problems shall be sorted out.
